A lot of people listen to music while running or lifting or whatever.

Does anyone find any specific songs really pump them up? I'd say yes but what song it is changes constantly. Ill just one day listen to a song and be like yea! I'm going to run until my legs fall off!

Normally with cardio if I feel i need an "audio boost" I turn on some fast paced music maybe some techno and the beat just kind of makes me run faster.

Anyone have any specific songs they listen too or even the type of music they prefer when working out?

Its no biggie.  Besides most of the people that frequent this forum now probably weren't here when the last one was posted anyway so plenty of people might enjoy it.

You'll have to excuse me.  I'm an #%@&! sometimes.

I agree on the music though, its great for cardio stuff. I just wish that the 'newness' of the songs lasted longer. I keep having to find new music to keep up my intensity. I'm a music freak. I like everything from Metallica and Disturbed, to Miley Cyruss and Beyonce. Wierd, I know. I've been wanting to start a new kind of music altogether and form a band but I don't know anything about music. A few chords on the guitar just isn't going to cut it. It would be a cross between Metallica, Marilyn Manson, and the blue alien from the Fifth Element. (its all in my head..)

that's awesome.  the wider range of your tastes, the more "new" stuff you will find.
do you like indie type music?
if you do, or just like different stuff, you can get legal and free tunes here:

http://digital.thinkindie.com/

scroll toward the bottom wHEre it says FREE LOADS.  you can listen too and download a ton of songs.  maybe you will find something there?  i found a bunch of stuff i liked, and some stuff i really liked last month (i think they change stuff up monthly or so....

I enjoy music for cardio and weight lifting. I don't have one fav song on my mp3 player that really gets me jacked up. I got around 300 songs on there and I just hit shuffle and go.I listen to punk stuff and metal mostly. I find those to styles give me the most energy during my workout. I listen to some mellow stuff  but not while working out

I just had the best workout to a Motley Crue compilation.

I found a song of theirs that might appeal to everyone (even the chicks).

"Time for Change" by Motley Crue. Very Inspirational.

This should be the theme song for the Biggest Loser. I'm sick of the 'Proud' song they keep playing...

Today I had the best cardio workout to Greendays' 'When September Ends'. I just love that song. I've seen them in concert live, but recently I saw there concert on the Palladia channel and they closed with that song. The lead singer came out on his own, armed with his guitar and started. A sea of 100,000 fans screaming and the song kept getting louder and louder. When it hit the solo, it was tremendous! He played riffs and additional artificial harmonics on the guitar that aren't in the original. It was like watching Jack White really kick it! Anyway, I thought of that when I was on the elliptical machine..except I imagined I was in front of 100,000 people and owning the song! It gave me goosebumps and one #%@&! of a workout!

I couldnt find the exact Palladia version with all the guitar ad-libs, but here is the song:

Here is a fantastic rocker that is inspirational as H&LL! Really great for finishing ALL your time on those Cardio machines!

A few lyrics:

Why give up? Why give in?
It's not enough, it never is
So I will go on until the end
We've become, desolate
It's not enough, it never is
But I will go on until the end

I've lost my way
I've lost my way
But I will go on until the end

The final fight I win
The final fight I win
The final fight I win

But I will go on until the end!
