I asked someone what they would find more satiating (filling) - they picked bread over popcorn which really surprised me - until I realised that I wasn't clear enough with my question and the person imagined eating an arbitrary amount of bread vs an arbitrary amount of popcorn. Let's introduce the word "isocaloric" it just means "the same number of calories". The size, weight or volume of the portion is not the sole factor in how satiating a food is, but it is a good starting point. Below I photographed 24 foods in servings of 10 calories. Behold the...

Forgive me if this seems like a dumb question but...
Is each plate 10 calories worth of food or is is 10 calories for the types of food on the plate?

Could you maybe do some more vegetables or something? Because I would really like to see that, and maybe 100cals instead of 10 so its easier.
But thanks for putting the time and effort into this post, it is nice to see it in picture form, it opens your eyes a bit, confirms the calorie 'theory'

Each of the last two plates (romaine lettuce and raw spinach) were 10 calories on their own so I don't think 100 calories will be very practical with veggies
Yes, for the avoidance of doubt, each of the 24 foods illustrated was 10 calories on their own, so the first plate is 13 x 10 = 130 calories

| I meant things like carrots, or tomatoes and things like that, but maybe that's just because I very rarely eat lettuce. And you can't realy get it where I live anyway, not spinach which is my prefered.

Wow you need to eat a lot of cucumber to get anything out of it... And mushrooms, I never thought they were so low in calories, maybe because they taste so good! But nice to know
