Does anyone know whether or not if calorie descriptions for fruits take into account that some have skin and seeds? For example an avocado that is 173 grams has 288 calories. Are they telling us that is for the flesh only? Are they weighing the whole fruit? Thank you ;)
My FAQ on sources for the calculator gives the ref to the USDA database I use for most of my fruits and veggies. If I am interpreting their accompanying notes correctly, the data is for the "edible portion" of the food.
I would assume that this would include an apple peel, but not an avocado peel.
