Hi clairem,

I am sure you will find someone. You might also check the Looking For a Diet Buddy forum, and see if anyone is "advertising" in the same situation :)

Ok here goes...I started at 362.6 and am currently at 297.2. When I started I took what I've learned over the years and took a week to journal what I was eating for calories and then dropped it to 2000 calories and tweaked it from there. From may '07 till august '07 I had lost 40lbs. September to december I was up/down 5lbs but didnt gain any of the 40lbs back. End of december decided I needed to get back into what I was doing and managed to lose another 20lbs.  I just joined Weight Watchers here at work this week; to try to confuse my body, shock it by doing something different. At the end of the 12wks, I'll figure out if I'm going to go back to calories or stick w/ ww for a little bit longer.  When I first started, the back of my hips hurt all the time, I couldn't walk far w/out having to stop and rest due hips hurting and short of breath. Standing up to do dishes hurt but as I lost weight it got easier to do those things.  I couldn't walk far or fast, my son and I would go on 10-15mins walks at a very slow pace.  Not that it's still the best but now can do 40mins or more on treadmill and go faster; as long as my son doesnt want to get on the treadmill w/ me.  does this help a little? What are you thinking of doing?

Just took a quick peek at the site, so it's similar to a Weigh less nutrition here in vermont. Nothing should be fast/way too easy wehn your trying to lose weight; ya didn't put it on overnight and you can't take it off overnight.  I have done something similar. I found it hard cause I really didnt like the food and it was hard to transition from their food back to real food. when i was eating 2000 calories a day I was losing 10lbs a month; that is my monthly goal; always has been.  But i'm a big believer in that if I want to have a brownie I'm going to have it but make sure I have the calories for it. with that said(another belief) is that if you deny yourself something you want then when you do eat it your going to gorge yourself on it.

Have any of you noticed your body rebelling against you after starting an exercise routine?  I don't know if I'm trying to do too much too fast, or if it is because I haven't done regular exercise in years.  I have been exercising every other day for 45 mins to an hour, basically walking on the treadmill, exercise bike and weight lifting.  The last couple of days I am feeling kind lightheaded and faint.  I feel that I have been eating properly, but maybe not.  Any ideas?

I haven't but that is something to check w/ your primary care doctor about.  Have you been drinking enough water?? Those are side effects of many things, one being dehyradated, another low blood sugar. I have been truly dehyradated and it's not fun.   My advice is call your doctor to be sure it isn't something else.

:smile:Hi. If youve heard of the HCG weight loss program, its a very good way to lose weight. I lost 36 pounds in 6 weeks on this program and kept it off. I will be starting the program again to lose more weight. The program lasts for 6 weeks. Between rounds, you have to wait a specific number of weeks. This absolutely works and is NOT a fake or fad diet. You would use a low cal diet with lean meats, veggies, and fruits. And plenty of exercise. This weight loss plan is safe, another thing that I like about it.  :apple: I got my program and supplies from Doctors Weight Loss Cure Clinics for $250. That includes everything you need to do the program. A blood draw is neccesary to start the program, but thay help with that too. And its cheaper having them help with that than to go somewhere else and pay a whole lot more. They give a free consult so that you can speak with one of their physicians. Their website is doctorsweightlosscure.com :apple: I just wanted to share this. Id been overweight for years and finally found something that helped me.

I could do your diet diet but i think i would be more tempted to stray if i dont have that weekly weigh in with someone,I do it all the time i eat cause i am bored  and not cause i am hungery so if i know that someone is coming to weigh me and take measurements i know that i have to stick it 100%.lol.
