My story is a bit complicated.
But i am a foriegn exchange student in France , and i have been here for
about a year.. I got placed in the mountains in the middle of nowhere.. and
i have been having a wonderful time.. but i have gained about 10 pounds.. i
am going home in about 57 days. and i want to lose the weight that i put on.
. I have already lost about 4 pounds, by not eating chocolate or sweets and
eating healthly. I have not had access to a gym because there isnt one in my
town, but i have jumped rope, run, walked, rode bikes and used a stationary
bike.
today i weigh about 130 pounds.
i am about 5'4. I know i am not overweight. But i would like to lose about
5-7 pounds before i go home. I am an active person. i dont eat sweets or
junk food.
i will have access to a gym when i move to a different host family next
week.
Is it possible to lose the weight in this amount of time? Or am i dreaming?

| That's not too complicated :) But I just wanted to say that it is possible for you to lose the weight you want to lose. The tricky part is that you're not overweight and it sounds like you have healthy eating habits.. I always find that losing the last few pounds is the hardest. My recommendation would be to write down what you eat and track the calorie count. Using this website is a great resource; I've met with gym trainers and gotten estimates on what calorie loss I need and looked at food calorie counts in books and this website has come up with same information for FREE! So I love it. It takes work, but you can do it :)

Hi Jamie,
I agree with jmalchik. Losing 5-7 pounds in eight weeks is a reasonable goal. However, it's important to realize that exercise can build muscle while reducing fat stores. Your shape can change without much weight loss taking place.
Whatever you do, be careful not to restrict your fat intake too much because you need fat in your diet for certain nutrients to be properly absorbed into the bloodstream. For excellent explanations regarding the importance of eating enough fats of the proper kind, and about how fat intake affects hormone balance (the key to weight control), visit westonaprice.org or thincs.org

Drinking LOTS of water is helpful as well as eating a small amount (of something healthy) every couple of hours. It sounds like you're already moving alot, but it's important that make sure you KEEP moving. 10,000 steps a day is a great goal.
Good luck!
