Hi Everyone,

Normally I'm an all fruit for lunch guy, but I've decided to shake things up a bit and go to some low-cal yogurt (100 cals or less) for a bit. I'm aware these artificial sweeteners are evil.  I lack the free time to hand-churn and assemble a bucket of all natural yogurt thus I have to pick the lesser of two evils here. I'm undecided which of these to are better for my diet. One is lower calories, but higher in cholesterol. Which of the below do you think are healthier? I work out with weights 3 days a week, run cardio on the treadmill for 3 miles at a time, 3 times a week. Sunday I take the day off.

Wegmans Light Blended (Raspberry) 6oz. @100 cals.

Sodium-105mg
Total Carb.-18g
Sugars-13g
Protein-5g
Calcium-20%
Vitamin C-4%
Cholesterol-0mg
Sweetened with Splenda

Has Acidophilus, Bifidus & L. Casei Bacterias

Archer Farms Fat Free Blackberry (Target Stores Brand) 6oz. @70 cals.

Sodium-95mg
Total Carb.-11g
Sugars-9g
Protein-8g
Calcium-20%
Vitamin C-0%
Cholesterol-<5mg (1%)
Sweetened with Aspartame

Has Acidophilus, Bifidus Bacterias

So, Wegmans is higher in Sodium, Carbs,Sugars, and Vitamin C, but lower in Protein and Cholesterol. And it also has an extra bacteria friend, L. Casei..

So, experts out there, please tell me which I should be eating..I like the archer farms, but I don't like the cholesterol and the missing L. Casei. Any benefit for the extra critter?

Why did you not list Fat and Saturated Fat? Don't you think they're factors in the choice?

I've been buying Astro Original 1% Plain Yogurt lately..

125g (1/2 cup)
Calories - 60
Total fat - 1g
Sat. fat - 0.5g
Sodium - 75mg
Sugars - 4g
Protein - 5g
Calcium - 15%

They don't taste that great plain, so I like to naturally sweeten them up by eating them with cut up fruits. :chewing: Or I mix my cereal with them.

But between the two, I would choose the Archer one..

Sorry! Was listing ingredients where there were values only. Total fat was zero for both. No Saturated or Trans Fat.

Thank you! I'm not happy with the artificial sweeteners..I may have to try buying some plain yogurt and adding some fruit. Maybe blueberries..I like the ease of being able to buy many different flavors just to keep it interesting. I may try the cereal idea too!

Of the original 2 choices I'd personally be going for the 2nd one (45% of calories from protein, compared with the first one which is only 20%).

Having said that, save for the odd teaspoon of Whey powder I'm now dairy-free so in reality I'll have neither one.

I'd hardly call myself a yogurt expert, this is just what I'd do
