I had to make up a name for this.  I was trying to come up with something that would be good as an appetizer.  I made this spread and layered it between 5-6 tortillas, refirgerated it for most of the day, then cut the stack in small squares.  It turned out well but I also realized that the spread could be easily converted to a dip or used in various ways.  Let your imagination be your guide!

1/2 bunch fresh cilantro
3-4 green onions, chopped
can of green chilis

Pulverize the above in the food processor, then add:

8 oz no fat cream cheese
salsa (homemade is best of course but not required)
3 T light mayo
hot sauce (very optional)

The more salsa you add, the more it becomes a dip vs. a spread

By the way, I do not typically use fat free cream cheese because I don't like the taste but that is what I happened to have in the house.  In this recipe, I did not mind the fat free at all.

That sounds really good. I tend to agree with you on fat free cream cheese. I usually use the low fat kind instead. I had a bad experience when making a chip beef dip once. lol, wasn't good at all, most of it got thrown out.

I will be trying this soon....thanks for posting...
