Well, I was too afraid to step on the scale for a while. You know... Thanksgiving dinner, then leftovers, then Christmas feast..... oops?

Yipee!!!

down to 190 (from 194 before TG and from 307 on 2/15/2008)

:grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin:

How? Well, actually do what has been suggested here numerous times. Eat as before, on your diet; if you have a "good food day" compensate by one or two days consciously reducing your calorie intake; be honest with yourself (I did have a 3100 calorie day :pig::pig::shock:):shock:; keep on doing what worked for you; keep your records current and if you keep being honest about it..... it will work out.

I admit, it was tempting to say "oh well, that little bit of cold turkey doesn't really count...." or "oh well, I had a lot of food today, I don't calculate exactly, let's just say it was 2000"or or or ... I am sure you know ALL of the excuses yourself :wink:

Keep your records. Make cross checks:

Add up the calories in e.g. 20 days, multiply your RMR with 20 and add your excercise and 3500cal/lb lost....should be roughly the same number)

e.g.

12/1/2008 193lbs 12/30/2008 190lbs = 30 days, -3lbs = 10500cal
food from 12/1/2008 to 12/30/2008 = 58750cal
excercise 1200cal (yes, I was lazy)
together burned calories = 70450
divided by 30 = 2348/day
which is about what it should be for 5'11", 190lbs, 47Years, medium active

So the numbers add up. No systematic errors, keep on going:grin:

And yes....I am a little bit of a scientific guy, and no I definitely, positively, in no way have developed an obsession about all that :wink::wink::wink::wink::wink::wink::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin::grin: (hey, it's a way to cope)

Good success to all of you too!
