Today I have reached 25 pounds lost and am half way to my goal of 50. I started this new lifestyle 66 days ago on March 16. I was only aiming for 30 pounds lost, but decided to make it 50 after help from this site and others. I just want to thank this site for all it's help. I've frequently used the calculators and articles to help attain my weight loss. For everyone out there that is on the same path to a healthy lifestyle, good luck. Keep eating healthy and exercising everyday, until you are happier and healthier.

Congrats! How are you doing it? Like what kinds of food do you eat and what exercises do you eat?

Again, congratulations on your success

I haven't been doing anything really specail. I walk once a day, started with 30min and went longer and longer as the weeks went on. A usual day eating for me would be...

Breakfast: Specail K, 1% Milk, maybe some rasins in it. Sometimes with whole wheat toast or fruit. Every now and then I have eggs. Oatmeal.

Lunch: Turkey/Cheese sandwhich-no mayo. Or Tuna sandwhich. Lettuce, Tomato. Sometimes have some pretzels with it. Or salad. Light, low-fat dressing.

Dinner: Boneless skineless chicken breast with lots of veggy.

Snacks: Low-fat yogurt, snack bars like specail K, or quaker oats, fruit, carrot sticks.

And all I drink is water. Occassionaly I'll have some juice with breakfast.

Yeah, of course, I exercise everyday. I walk a little over two miles 5-7 days a week in the morning before I eat breakfast. Then later on in the day, I either lift some weights(light weights, more reps) or play basketball for a couple hours. I also try to do a lot of small things throughout the day to make myself more active. Such as: going food shopping, doing dishes, vacuuming, dusting, yard work, taking out trash and other small things like that. Keep in mind I didn't just get up one morning and start doing all these things. I started out slow and worked my way up as the weeks/months went by.

Great! That's what I do too. I try to find ways to burn more calories. Today I'm lazy, but tomorrow I'm going to go gangbusters on some calorie burning-veggie eatin' activities! I've lost 14 and still need to drop 40, really, although I haven't been that thin in a very long time. I plan to see what I look and feel like at different intervals and reevaluate as the time goes by.

Your success is my inspiration to keep going!
