This web site has special significance to me because I started reading it right around when I had some experience of acceptance concerning living a healthy lifestyle.

I'm 198 lb.  today. I've been around 200lb for a week or so, but today and yesterday were the first times that I've been below 200lb, since I can remember weighing myself. I was consitently 230 lb for many years.

So, according to info on this site, I'm still obese and I'm supposed to weigh 140 lb. or something like that depending on  my frame etc.

Many things are improved for me. My shoulders aren't covered with dandruff, my face isn't covered with flakes of dead skin and the places where eczema caused breaks in my skin are not broken. I generally feel better and people look at me differently when I'm in public. Mothers aren't hiding their children as I approach.

The idea that I could actually be 140 lb is a pretty amazing thought for me. I think it would dramatically change my outlook. I would love to be small instead of large and imposing. The thought that it could be possible hadn't occured to me, and it makes me feel hopeful.

Congrats on breaking the 200 pound barrier.  I remember getting there in January of this year.  I am now feeling great at 175 or so.  Keep up the good work!

Seems like that 200 lb mark is a big one for a lot of us.  I peaked at 202 this last summer.  Now I'm down to around 175 and final goal is about 135.  (I can't believe I weighed 112 in highschool-not a realistic goal.)

Yippee for under 200.  Now try for under 190 and go from there.  I love going from the 190's to 180's to 170's.  Hopefully in January I'll break into the 160's.

WE CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!

liponeer,

Congrats on your progress, with your thinking as well as your weight.

That's so interesting that you feel better and your skin has improved. We talk mostly about weight on this website, but I'm sure that eating well to lose weight does much more good for our bodies than make us thinner.

Keep up the good work, and keep us posted!

Congrats to you!  I know exactly how you feel!  My highest was 192, but when I hit under 160 I was jumping for joy!!   Now if I could just break the 140's I'll be happy!

 Congratulations. I am hoping to do that soon. I have been over 200 lbs since the birth of my youngest daughter almost 3 years ago. I am hoovering at 207 and cant wait to see the scales read less than the 200 lb mark. What are you doing to lose your weigh? Do you exercise regularly? I have a problem keeping on track with that, every time i want to exercise on of four kids needs me. I guess i need to get up early so that i have time to myself. They say it takes a full month to get into a habbit.
