It has been 55 days from when I first set my eyes on caloriesperhour.com and I have lost 11.5 pounds (I just weighed in). I just feel like i have more energy. I always knew how to lose weight but i think it took someone who wasnt out to scam me out of money to give me a wake up call and tell me that the basic facts stand true. If you eat more calories than you burn YOU WILL GAIN WEIGHT! It is so refreshing to see a weight loss web page that isnt trying to scam me out of money.

THANKS PETER!

I am now down 14 pounds. I have stopped counting calories each day (I still count but i am not as strict about documenting it). I have read the book "eat to live" by Dr. Fuhrman. Most of it was common sense... eat more fruits, veggies and beans... eat less sugar, white bread and rice, and red meats. With a book by a professional MD who specializes in nutrition I wouldnt expect anything less than that. All in all a very good read though. I was a little bored with the part debunking all of the other diets because I had already heard about most of the claims and already knew it was bullcrap.

keep it up everyone!

Yes, in ETL that was boring about the fad diets. Especially the long text on the Mediterranean Diet which must have been the fad when it was written.

And Atkins which just declared bankruptcy.

Glad you're continuing to do well! And thanks for the nice words about my website. It's been a very rewarding hobby for five years now.

I saw that in the news today that the atkins company went bankrupt. I had to laugh a little bit.

Its been about 90 days now and I am down about 18 pounds. I am losing weight faster than i ever thought i could. I however by volume am eating the most i have ever in my entire life! I have learned to like the taste of so many more healthy foods.

A guy who works where i work came over to my cube today and asked me how i lost all the weight (he was the first to even say something to me about it... kind of made me happy). I just told him that i started eating better and rollerblading more, which is true, but you could almost see a kind of sad look on his face. I think he wanted me to say YEAH!!! i took this magic pill and it worked!

There is NOTHING more encouraging than getting a complement. They keep me going for another six months easy!

Congrats!

I got that sort of response a lot too, when I'd tell people I simply eat better and less and exercise more.  I'd get "Oh, so anyway about that meeting we have at noon...."  Always made me chuckle.  Other responses would be a blank stare like they're trying to think of the "name" of that particular diet trend I'm descriping.  Kind of like "I don't remember seeing that book..."  LOL!
