can.  I am 5'll during my teenage years I weighing about 160lbs. which is small for my height (my opinion).  Well, I became pregnant at the age of 17....I had twin baby girls by the age of 18. After the birth of my children I gained over 70lbs.. I began gaining weight rather quickly after that point..I went from 230lbs. to 250lbs. from 250lbs. to 279lbs. from then 291lbs. then 306lbs. until I reached a whooping 326lbs. I let myself go mentally and physically...I didn't ever want to leave the house. I never really had a chance to do things with my children,,, my sister was the one who took them out to the movies, dinner, amusement parks, shopping etc.... I was so depressed I cried myself to sleep everynight. I would still go to work but that was it, go to work run right in the house and stay there until it was time to go to work again. My social life was completely gone....I was a prisoner in my own mind, body and soul.  Until I joined the L.A weight loss program....and need I say anymore I down 40 something pounds, my self-esteem is steady growing, I feel much better about myself.. I look better, I actually wear bright clothes now. Which was a def. no no a year ago.

Everyday is a struggle, every minute is a challenge. I know no one could do it for me but me!! I took control over my life and removed all the cluter, negativity things out of my way.. Now I'm making it. I have a long way to go but its no stopping me now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, motheroftwins and fellow tall woman. I'm 6'1", currently at 265 lbs. down from 303 in 10 weeks on my own with an old Weight Watchers plan that worked for me in 1990, after I had my son. I lost about 75 pounds and then just slowly gained it back over the years, times 2. I was all about my looks until a few years ago and have really struggled with the whole concept of being fat and in my forties, so I hear ya. And my chest gets bony at 170, or it did when I lost all that weight at 30. I weighed 150 at 19 and was not too thin, so my goal is somewhere between 150 and 170.

Good luck to you - just keep after it. You can do it.

:DWay to go! It's so great to read of other people and their success! I'm not familiar with LA weight loss, although I've heard of it. I have tried WW in the past and had some success, I've devised my own plan based on some of their ideas. Good luck to both of you!
