As the description says, I am a long time reader, but this is my first post. I have been following the advice of this great site and I have lost 12 lbs. I joined a gym at the beginning of Febuary and it feels great! Even better is the fact that I do heavy weight training, so I know I have probably lost alot more fat then that and made up the weight in muscle. And the best part is that I can tell when I look in the mirror! I started at 184 and I am down to 172 (I'm a 5'11" male). I even got my girlfriend to join a gym! Beach parties here I come!

Congrats on the weight loss, and thanks for sharing.
I can see by the stats that far more people read these forums than post. So even when we post and don't get a reply, we are sharing with others. And hopefully helping them.

wow! thats awsome.. I too joined in Febuary and have been exercising and eating properly and have lost a total of 6kg which is about 12lbs roughly.. i think.. :P
Its a long hard road but what u learn comes with you on ur journey.. excellent that ur girlfriend has joined with you, it makes it so much easier when u have ur partner involved too.. mine has started to help me with my weight training, and he is doing sets inbetween my sets now too!
